The ending of the third Madoka movie is utter crap. I just... Homura's my favorite character (she's my computer background right now), and now I kind of hate her. I don't want to believe that last third of the movie happened. I can't believe that bullcrap.
I know, really random, but I don't have time to rant, because I need to head to bed. I just... I'm in shock, and disbelief. I can see how people might argue that was in-character of Homura, but as for me, it just felt extremely OOC, and I don't buy it, and I can't believe that's how they chose to end the series. The anime's ending was depressing, but at least it kept everybody in-character. The first two-thirds of the movie are at such odds with the last third, and it just doesn't work for me. I still want to love Homaru, but I just...

High Guardian Spice Review
High Guardian Spice. I didn’t know much about this show going into it other than it was a Crunchyroll original, it was highly controversial, and the art style/character designs looked right up my alley. I’ve been meaning to watch it since it first aired, and I was in the mood for something new (and short), so I decided now was the time. I watched the first episode, and… The animation is very low budget, the voice acting was bad, it’s only in English, and it felt more like a western cartoon with anime influence. More on all that in a moment. Some shows can have clumsy pilots though, and so I watched the next episode right after. It still wasn’t great, but once I watched the third episode (with the intent of dropping the show), I found it seemed to be getting better with each subsequent episode. My Little Pony: A New Generation Thoughts
Time to write down my thoughts about My Little Pony: A New Generation. Warning, this is LONG and I ramble a bit. SPOILERS EVERYWHERE!!! So, when I first heard G5 was going to take place in the same world as G4, I was super excited. Sad that basically all of the characters from G4 were going to be dead, but excited to see how the world had changed and to see references to G4. When I heard the initial plot for G4, it raised a lot of questions, but I was still excited for it, even with it mostly being a re-hash of G4’s overall direction (slowly befriending every creature). Then we got a look at character designs and small bits of animation. I hadn’t been sure about the CGI change, but it didn’t look bad in the short clips, and I mostly loved it in the movie itself. Every now and then a facial expression looks weird, but not enough it bothered me. The one thing that does bother me is the magnetic hooves. Eclipse Sucks
I know I've only been on Eclipse for a few minutes, but UGH.... I can't even re-sort all those notifications I had in folders that I mentioned in my last journal. dA has decided to sort them by their type, rather than letting me put them where I want. I guess I'm going to need to start a Word document to list where all of those I watched have moved to or become more active on, so that I can keep the list all together, rather than losing it in the shuffle of others things. Also, I'm pretty sure the art has become smaller, when you first click on a piece. Which seems weird, when art is supposed to be the focus of this site. I just know I already have a headache from Eclipse and, while I'm trying to give it a chance because it's been forced upon us, this is NOT a good first impression. Also, I noticed that the journal now tells you how long it will take to read, as you write it up. I have to wonder what they're using as the reading speed. Not to say it's a bad feature, but people's
Eclipse Folder Frustrations
I just have to complain. I've been sorting through notifications I threw into folders to look at later, or to save in order to reference if needed. I've deleted quite a few that are no longer relevant, and I've moved some as links into a Word document I have of things to check out. However, after weeding out everything that didn't need saved or things that would take a small chunk of time to complete (listening to an hour interview, for instance), I still have 9 folders that need to remain there permanently, and two of those folders have literally hundreds of notifications in them. With one of my other folders, it will just be a pain to sort

It's sentiments like these that have warned me off from ever watching the Madoka movies. As far as I'm concerned, the franchise ended with the last episode of the anime.
